This was a well located hotel to visit the midtown and lower Manhattan. It is at the top end of the Chelsea area so it doesn’t have the charm of the area but on the plus side it means it is located closer to the main attractions in midtown. Really friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast with plenty of choice and clean rooms, although it’s New York so they are never going to be big but they are enough to rest your head after a long day sightseeing. This hotel included breakfast and when you look at how much eating out is now in New York, this deal saved us a fortune especially when you can look up to $4.50 for a croissant. If it was your first visit to New York and you are on a bit of a budget then I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff was extremely kind and very helpful in addressing any queries or requests. Despite being a quite busy hotel, the common areas were very clean and the housekeeping service was also quite good. The bed was comfortable and the view from the top floor rooms were nice. The breakfast had different options of bread, hot plates and pastries available. If the weather is good, there are tables outside if you would like to relax or have your breakfast. The location is ideal: there is the 28 St metro station around the corner and the 34 St - Penn Station a couple of blocks away. It's quite central, so it's easy to access all touristic areas of the city.

All hotels in New York are expensive, much more than I would expect, and for a Holiday Inn Express, this was really exoensive. However, it is in a good location in easy walking distance from Macy's, Times Square and Chelsea. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. The breakfast is an absolute scrum; there rae plenty of tables including several outside. The breakfast is buffet-style and apart from cereals and porridge there are pastries and several hot dishes (eggs, sausages, fried potatoes etc). Yoy can pick up bottled water free from the reception area daily.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel was close to restaurants that we prefer. It is also near to the tourist sites that we went to. Even if you take a cab, it is convenient. The staff are very accommodating. Free bottled water at all times. The room was good for the family, with bathtub which is superb for a tiring day after touring around the city. Would have loved to stay longer. The free breakfast options were so good as well, love them all. There is a deposit that was returned after check-out. Thank you.

The location was excellent. Extremely convenient to MSG. Just a short walk to a wonderful boat tour (Starship NYC), which I recommend. This was our first time in the city (any big city, really) and the staff was very helpful giving directions and getting us transportation when needed. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable, which was definitely appreciated. It was also a good value, especially considering that it was so convenient to so many amenities. We would definitely stay again.
